The Joe Gets A Digital Upgrade

The Joe Gets A Digital Upgrade
Its odd that the Wings would put any money into the Joe Louis Arena at this point. With a new arena in the planning phase, upgrades to signage seems strange. However, it all has to do with advertising so in theory the money will come right back.

I am referring to the recent replacement of the signage above the arena bowl entrances from the concourse. All of the tunnels are now topped off with an LED sign that can display a wide variety of rotating ads. These replace the old backlit panels that had been in place for years and could only display one ad each for a single event.

They have also added a third LED display to the boards just to the left of the away team bench.
