Consol We Hardly Knew You

The Penguins will start the 2016/17 season in the same arena but it will have a different name around the faceoff circle. Dealing with financial struggles, Consol Energy was unable to continue to pay for the naming rights of the state of the art Pittsburgh Arena. Fortunately another company stepped right up and took over those naming rights. Unfortunately for Penguins fans, it is a less than ideal name for a sports arena. PPG Paints will now be found all over the arena and the name: PPG Paints Arena.

So here is the ice in its lack of glory.
